Deepika Padukone to Play in Race 2

Films like Bachchna Ae Haseeno, Love Aaj Kal, Karthik calling Karthik, Houseful,etc have played an important role in establishing her as a star. Her forth coming flicks like Break Ke Baad,and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan se are also look quite promising. However, adding another feather to her already feathered cap it is reported that she is being considered for the sequel of the super hit flick Race by Abbas Mastan.
The fact that Race with its entire cast, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Sameera Reddy, Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, was a super duper hit. Thus it has become difficult for the filmmaker to come up with a new cast for the sequel. They have to plan for a cast that can beat the standards of the stars who had featured in the film Race.
However, the news of Priyanka Chopra being a part of cast in Race 2 can now considered as an old story. Deepika and Kareena Kapoor will be seen replacing Priyanka as the female protagonists in the film.
With Deepika on the road to capture Race 2, it looks like the road to success for the beauty is perhaps getting less rocky!
